Far Away From Here

Far Away From Here, also commonly referred to as FAFH, focuses on themes such as young adulthood, life lessons, self growth + exploration, magic, dimension travel, and the supernatural and paranormal. The story itself has dark themes, accompanied by lighter tones, and would be considered to be for mature audiences.This specific story has been a semi-private passion project of mine for many years, though, I've worked with a majority of my characters since middle school as a whole. I do have other story projects that I've developed and am currently working on, such as another story that I titled SORPAIDS, but Far Away From Here never fails to take up the majority of my attention. It's my main project, I'm very obsessed and in love with it. ♡♡♡I can't say much about the entire synopsis of this story, since it's facing a humongous rewrite. Only time and my efforts can tell. What I will say, is that the current story takes place in the early 2010s: late 2011, the entirety of 2012, and so on, because there's no canonical end date to the story yet. Magic, different worlds and dimensions, and supernatural beings are very significant. Without any spoilers, it's a story full of depth, meaning, and exploration. There's angst, trauma, and even some violence and other mature themes. To accompany that, there's also wholesome experiences, love, friendship, allyship, phases of contentment, and constant fighting for peace and happiness. It's much similar to real life. And, there's also a bit o' fighting too... :^}
In other words, "watch my characters grow and experience tons of stuff as they go through hardships, and also look at all the cool things that I have in store because I'm very creative- yay!"A good chunk of what this story and its universe contains, in terms of world building, are completely original to me and my imagination. When i'm giving out facts and lore about the supernaturals, it's almost, 98%, usually my supernaturals, so don't apply it to reality. My story has various realistic elements, but when it comes to actual fictional aspects, that usually goes out the window. I'm not here to teach you about accurate spirits, angels, demons, entities, and gods. I'm only here to show you mine that I made up and put my own creative twist on. Though, I occasionally get slightly inspired by other depictions from other works.

Tom is a mortal with deep connections to the supernaturals, which is also commonly referred to as a vessel. He lives a double life, widely recognized as a talented actor in the mortal world. Behind the curtains, he's known by most of the supernaturals for being a potential opponent, or a vessel to exploit. For some, maybe both. Due to his soul bond with Artimus, he's now a demi-demon, having the ability to use Kismnoetian magic and fire magic, also having the potential to possess other traits that only demons have.Despite being at odds with a lot of the supernaturals, he still gets along with a good chunk of them, as he's basically part of them now.He's got an obsequious and cautious exterior around most people, whether it's a bunch of strangers, or he's just in a professional setting. But of course, acting is just what he's good at. In reality, he has no idea who he is as an individual, constantly trying to fit into the mold of a perfect, mature, functioning adult and rolemodel. He does his best to hide and suppress his flaws, often accidentally leading people into thinking that he thinks he's better than everyone, when he actually believes the exact opposite. It's part of his nature to be closed and distant, it's as if he were a puzzle to solve, or something to fix- though, it'd be nearly impossible. He can barely recall the last time he had been genuinely happy in the past 6 years.Endlessly being in the spotlight in both worlds, he never gets a break.

Artimus is a demon from another world called The Kismnoet. As far as he knows, he lacks any recollection of his own past. Most demons find him to be an annoying inconvenience, funnily enough, the feeling is mutual. He used to be a thief in order to survive, but he left that lifestyle behind him after bonding himself with Tom's soul with the intention of bringing him back to life. Now he stays with Tom in The Mortal World, permanently bound to him, and it's his main priority to protect him. Everyone else won't make it very easy, will they?While he's young for a demon, he's pretty old through the eyes of a mortal, not that we know his exact age, anyway. Don't be fooled by his charming gentleman exterior. At times, he acts just like an immature young adult, or even a teenager... Not to mention, he can be a bit of a prick at times-- It's his love language.Despite it all, he's somehow one of the most loyal and caring people you'll ever meet once you get to know him. He's just an individual that you have to decipher.
